CICIC is not responsible for recognizing credentials issued outside Canada. This responsibility falls to various organizations in Canada, including educational institutions, regulatory authorities and some professional associations, and employers. Some of these organizations may use academic credential assessment services that are members of the Alliance of Credential Evaluation Services of Canada.
Consequently, we do not grant equivalencies or assess credentials, nor do we intervene on behalf of individuals or in appeals. We therefore ask you not to send us personal documents for assessment, such as diplomas or transcripts.
Furthermore, we do not provide authentication services for credentials issued in Canada, as the issuing authorities are responsible to provide this information.
